CSP is a fast-paced, exciting space, where we set the vision for CSP channel growth and execute Go-To-Market (GTM) and marketing programs excellence across Modern Work (MW) and Business Applications Solution Plays.

 

As the Partner Economics Lead, you will be responsible for envisioning and incubating new opportunities to activate partner customer acquisition, expansion and upsell outcomes leveraging partner margin and incentives. Working in partnership with your peers across the CSP Growth team, you will understand, document and synthesize new investment opportunities and define requirements in collaboration with Business Planning, Partner Incentives and Engineering to support new investment modalities, unlocking new and improving existing Go-To -Market (GTM) motions to accelerate Net Paid Seat Adds (in Small and Medium Business (SMB)) and Modern Work and Business Applications billed revenue (across SMB and Small Medium and Corporate (SMC)). Modern Commerce underlies how we offer our Microsoft 365 services through Cloud Solution Provider partners and to customers.

 

We work closely with multiple stakeholders across Microsoft to drive new customer acquisition and accelerated revenue growth through CSP. This includes nurturing partners’ preference to sell and develop managed services using Microsoft MW & Business Applications, developing AI-based GTM experiences that empower partners to achieve more, enabling new routes to market and improving foundational programs that create strong sales discipline around new business acquisition, retention, and upselling.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business
    • OR Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Modern Work and Business Applications portfolio of products (Microsoft 365, Copilot for Microsoft 365, Business Central, etc.)  

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business
    • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft’s Cloud Solution Provider program
  • Compelling storytelling and presentation skills, experience presenting to leadership level audiences 
  • Collaborator on complex multi-faceted issues across multiple groups, with awareness to establish relationships that result in the right outcomes for the business and our customers. 

  • Ability to move others across organizational boundaries to a desired business outcome when there is no clear “ownership” of an issue. 

  • Ability to solicit, synthesize, and act on inputs from peers

    Written and spoken communication skills at all altitudes, with actionable clarity 

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Product Marketing, Business Planning and Finance to develop business cases for pricing changes to drive incremental growth through CSP in low penetration markets (ex.: Emerging Markets).
  • Partner with Partner Incentives, Incentives Engineering and Business Planning to evaluate new partner economics constructs, driving strategic partner execution to deliver SMB Net Paid Seat Adds to the Microsoft 365 business.
  • Manage existing portfolio of CSP incentives, investments and market-specific pricing strategies, identifying business impact and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support peers in ideating new investment opportunities that can enable incremental growth through CSP.
